đź’ˇ About this duo
‍
Fabienne, 54 years old, first time mentor, has been looking for a job herself for a year. She was advised to become a mentor by former HR colleagues.
Like all new mentors, she follows the initial 4-day training :
‍
"Mentoring at DUO is not something you do on the spur of the moment! There's a structure, tools, support, everything to feel confident in your ability to accompany a mentee."
‍
Her first encounter with Anouchka goes very well. She is a young Belgian of Mexican descent, mother of two children, and she doesn't know which way to move forward professionally. "I was lucky to have a great relationship with my mentor, I admire her very much" says Anouchka. " She helped me clarify my project and guided me towards a training that suited me more.
‍
Fabienne, on her end, found a new job and learned from Anouchka what active listening really meant : "Being a mentor, once a week for 6 months, gives you a rhythm. It creates movement and opens doors upon oneself... and others...
‍
“I had a superb mentor who helped me to no longer be stuck in my thoughts, to better order my ideas, to make up my mind, to value myself and to be clearer in my possibilities. I met a strong and admirable woman who accompanied me well and who, always with respect, pushed me forward! She reassured me on my journey.”
