The ASBL Duo for a Job, which organizes mentoring by putting job seekers of foreign origin in contact with older workers, believes that mentoring can help fight against long-term unemployment, it said on Wednesday, on the occasion of the international day of mentoring scheduled for January 17.

Mentoring is a powerful tool for inclusion for young people with an immigrant background. The association “Duo for a Job” offers an inspiring example: it connects young job seekers with volunteer senior mentors, often retired, who share their experience and networks.
