In almost 10 years, DUO for a JOB has enabled over 5,000 young job seekers from immigrant backgrounds to benefit from free and personalized support from a mentor in their job search. The goal? To combat inequalities and barriers to employment faced by these young people, and boost their chances of securing a contract, an internship, or training.
To reach as many young people as possible and offer this service to the widest audience, DUO for a JOB has launched a national communication campaign based on the many testimonials from young people supported by the association. It highlights and acknowledges the difficulties they encounter, what they feel, in order to offer them a solution. The idea is to convey a strong message: DUO for a JOB strengthens self-confidence and opens new perspectives. Mentoring is an asset for socio-professional integration, and it stimulates and increases young people's autonomy.
Are you young? Looking for a job? Are you from a foreign background? For once, it's not an obstacle, but an opportunity.
The campaign slogans:
👉 “Is your professional experience minimal?”
👉 “When you say your name, are you afraid of being rejected?”
👉 “Is your professional network limited to your neighborhood?”
👉 “For once, you tick all the boxes.”
Axelle Le Brettevillois, Communications Director, explains: "we want young people who see these messages to understand that we listen to them, that we know the difficulties they face, but also and especially that we have something to offer them and that they have everything to gain by being mentored by one of our mentors ".

‍1 young person, 1 mentor “It enables young people who no longer dare to dream to expand their horizons, to set goals that match their skills, and to boost their self-confidence ”‍
To address the discrimination, lack of network, or lack of experience highlighted in the campaign, DUO for a JOB "matches" each registered young person with the right mentor, regardless of their background, skills, or career goals. Mentoring creates a long-term relationship where the mentor shares their experience to support the young person in their endeavors. “It enables young people who no longer dare to dream to expand their horizons, to set goals that match their skills, and to boost their self-confidence ” concludes Axelle Le Brettevillois.
