On October 25, the very first event entirely dedicated to mentoring took place at the European Parliament, thanks to the efforts of Mentoring Europe and at the invitation of MEP Ilana Cicurel. DUO for a JOB was present both as the lead organization on mentoring towards employment in Europe and as a Belgian member of the advocacy committee of Mentoring Europe, a network of mentoring organizations and researchers seeking to improve the quality and visibility of mentoring in Europe. This was a unique opportunity for the mentoring sector to present its position paper “Mentoring in Europe: Towards an inclusive society, connecting cultures & generations” to the MEPs present and the European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth Mariya Gabriel.
