DUO for a JOB asbl propose un programme de mentorat intergénérationnel et interculturel en mettant en contact des jeunes issu·es de l’immigration (18-33 ans) avec des mentors bénévoles de plus de 50 ans qui partagent leur expérience pour les aider à trouver un emploi, un stage ou une formation. L’organisation a depuis 2013 accompagné plus de 10.000 jeunes et emploie plus de 100 personnes en Belgique, en France et aux Pays-Bas.

Your tasks:
Advocacy: You support the advocacy team in implementing its strategy to sustain mentoring towards employment (see our experience report and our memorandum).
Political analysis: You support the advocacy officer in establishing contacts with policymakers and civil servants. You analyze the agendas and meeting reports of parliamentary committees as well as the decisions of regional and federal governments. You make sure to select the elements relevant to the organization’s policy recommendations.
Research: You analyze relevant studies and reports and briefly summarize their conclusions.
Content creation: You prepare informative and/or awareness-raising content to be published on our social media and website.
Press review: You carry out a daily press review and select relevant articles for the organization.
😀 Your profile
- You are available for a minimum of 3 months.
- You are pursuing a university degree in political science, sociology, law, economics, or political communication, preferably at the master’s level.
- You have a good understanding of political and administrative structures as well as decision-making processes.
- You speak and write fluently in French or Dutch.
- You have a good knowledge of English.
- You possess excellent analytical and writing skills.
- You are capable of conducting research independently.
- You have an interest in topics such as migration, integration, and employment.
