DUO for a JOB is a non-profit organisation founded in Brussels in 2013 and active in Antwerp since 2017. DUO offers an intergenerational and intercultural mentoring programme that connects young people with a migration background with volunteer mentors aged 50 and over. Our mission? To promote equal opportunities on the labour market for young people with a migration background and to valorise the experience of people aged 50+. In this way, we contribute to a fairer and more inclusive society. Some key figures about DUO for a JOB:

🎯 Your missions
As a Mentoring Program Officer, you will recruit, train and match mentors and mentees, and coach them throughout their DUO journey. In addition, through your own projects, you will contribute to the further development of DUO for a JOB in Antwerp. You will work closely with a team of 8 colleagues in the province of Antwerp and in close collaboration with partner organisations in the region.
Your main responsibilities
🤝 Creating and supporting mentoring pairs
- Organising and facilitating joint information sessions to recruit participants (mentors and mentees).
- Conducting intake interviews with mentors and mentees.
- Matching mentors and mentees together with the team, based on clear criteria.
- Coaching mentoring pairs over a 6-month period, from the first meeting to the evaluation interview: answering questions, supporting problem-solving, providing advice and guidance, and sharing relevant information and guidelines.
- Administrative follow-up of mentoring pairs via our CRM system. 🎓 Training & events
- Actively contributing to the organisation and facilitation of mentor training sessions.
- Participating in intervision sessions for mentors and other activities that bring programme participants together. 📣 Recruiting mentors
- Organising outreach actions to attract new volunteer mentors.
- Hosting information sessions for interested volunteers.
- Managing and engaging our existing mentor community. 🚀 Contributing to the growth of DUO for a JOB
- Supporting the further development of DUO for a JOB in Antwerp and the surrounding area.
- Contributing to building relationships with a wide range of local stakeholders: associations, companies, clubs, public figures, public authorities, etc., and developing partnerships.
- Participating in events (job fairs, information and networking days, external info sessions, steering committees, etc.). Your responsibilities may evolve depending on your interests and the needs of DUO!
😀 Your profile
- Strong motivation to further develop our intergenerational and intercultural mentoring programme in Antwerp.
- Flexible, enthusiastic, accurate and well-organised.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience.
- Knowledge of the social sector and Antwerp is an asset, but not required.
- Good spoken and written proficiency in Dutch and English.
- Strong command of office and digital tools (Google Suite, Notion, etc.).
- You enjoy working in a structured way and handling a diverse range of tasks.
- You enjoy working with people and want to contribute to building a more inclusive labour market in Antwerp.

💡 Conditions
- A full-time fixed-term contract until 30/09/2026, with the possibility of extension.
- Salary: based on experience, within the salary scales of Joint Committee 329.02, level 4.2
