Internship Offer: Communication & Storytelling

As a Communication Intern, you will work under the supervision of the Communications Director for Belgium, in close collaboration with the communication team.
You will have the opportunity to tell stories about our intercultural and intergenerational encounters, gain experience in all aspects of communication, and contribute to a social impact organization.

Your Responsibilities
✍️ Copywriting & Storytelling

• Write impactful content for all our channels: blog posts, social media updates, newsletters, invitations, etc.


• Conduct interviews with youth and mentors to capture their journeys and transform them into inspiring stories (emotional and engaging storytelling).


• Adapt your writing style (tone of voice) according to different target audiences to maximize the impact of our communication campaigns.

🗞️ Press Relations

• Collaborate on drafting press kits and promotional materials to highlight DUO for a JOB.


• Support PR efforts: assist in targeting relevant journalists, update our media lists, and participate in the media outreach strategy.

✉️ Events & Content

• Support the organization of events for our community.


• Participate in photo/video shoots with mentors, mentees, and colleagues.


• Create visual and infographic content to accompany and enhance written texts.

  You have excellent writing and editorial skills in French or Dutch, and a good knowledge of English.

• You are familiar with the Belgian media landscape.


• You love writing, storytelling, and meeting new people.


• You are curious, creative, and eager to learn.


• You are proficient with Canva and CapCut.


• You have a strong interest in social issues such as inclusion, mentoring, and diversity.


• You are currently studying Communication, Journalism, Marketing, or a similar field.


• You work with rigor and autonomy, while enjoying being part of a team.

   Internship contract.

• Start & Duration: Possible start from late August 2026; minimum 8 weeks.


• Location: Main office in Brussels, with the possibility to work from Antwerp. Potential travel to our branches in Flanders and Wallonia.


• Mentorship by the DUO communication team in a dynamic and caring environment.


• Partial reimbursement of public transport costs.
