    Grant Manager

    Job profile

     

    In close collaboration with the coordinating team the Grant Manager will play an essential rôle in sourcing new revenue streams permitting the long term survival and growth of the organisation and follow-up of subsidy requests made to both public and private institutions.

    The ideal candidate will therefore need an impeccable writing style in French, Dutch and English and have a good sense of organisation as well the ability to think “outside the box”.

     

    His/her main responsibilities will be the following:

     

    1. Pursue the search of new financing opportunities both nationally and internationally, both in the public and the private sector.
    2. Draft calls for support and presentations aiming to gather additional funds as well as promoting the name and mission of DUO and the recruitment of new mentors/mentees.
    3. Follow up donor relations and establish reports on mentoring and evaluation, both made to measure and in general.
    4. Assist in the coordination of any other tasks as required.

     

    Given the small scale of the organisation, the quick evolution of the project and the managerial style (holacracy) a high degree of flexibility is required since the responsibilities may evolve quickly in parallel with the development of the association

     

    Candidate profile :

     

    • Truly committed to the social mission of the organisation, seriously motivated and willing to be involved in social work
    • Perfect written Dutch, French and English
    • Professional experience of at least 5 years.
    • Experience in the writing of tender bids would be an asset
    • Up to date with office software
    • Independent, results orientated, solution seeker, flexible, rigorous  and punctual.
    • Well organised and of smart appearance.

    Deputy Communication & Fundraising Manager

    Job profile

     

    In coordination with the department Coordinator the deputy will be responsible for the definition and the implementation of the communication strategy and fundraising.

    The ideal candidate is in fact a project manager who feels for communication and fundraising, capable of a micro and macro vision. He feels at ease as a strategist and as an operational.

     

    What are the major responsibilities:

     

    Fundraising

     

    • To develop the segment of small and medium donors:
      1. To define recruitment and loyalty strategies (organize focus groups, surveys, define expectations and a donor experience in line with our identity…)
      2. To coordinate and activate those strategies through our actual and future communication channels (on and off-line).
      3. To organize internal processes in order to monitor donations (Implementation of a CRM, team management, definition and assignment of tasks…).
    • To develop direct contacts and fix appointments with decision makers (companies, individuals and foundations).
    • To assume the follow up and the relaunch of contacts with private donors (corporate and individuals) ensuring the constant improvement of their experience.
    • Implementation and follow up of innovative solutions of donations. Assist the coordinator if necessary.

     

    Communication

     

    • At first, help to define a national communication (with focus on Flanders), then an international one, in order to help the organization to meet its objectives in terms of recruitment of recipients (mentors and mentees), funding and public awareness :
      1. Define the messages to target groups and identify the better communication channels.
      2. To develop, manage and evaluate the campaigns (on and off-line)
      3. To manage communication (especially in Dutch) of the various channels of the organization (actual and future ones), in collaboration with the team.

    Candidate profile

     

    • The social mission of the organization really makes sense to you. A great motivation and a real interest for the social field, refugees and socio professional insertion.
    • A professional experience of at least 7 years, ideally in the ‘non-profit’ sector (in Belgium or abroad)
    • An experience in fundraising or communication is an asset
    • Project manager who is capable of operational skills if necessary.
    • Dutch (mother tongue) with a sound knowledge of French and English.
    • Impeccable writing and presentation.
    • Analytical skills
    • Master of office tools
    • Independent, results and solution oriented, flexible, rigorous, perfectionist, methodical, looking for details too.

    Company Connection (1-2 hrs per week)

    The Company Connection assists DUO for a JOB in making its activities known to people over 50 within his/her own company or work environment. She/he will contact potential mentors individually or collectively, introduce our organization to them, eventually organise info sessions (in cooperation with the DUO teams) and take initiative to recruit new mentors.

     

    Candidate profile

    • Age between 22 and 49
    • The volunteer is professionally active ideally within a multigenerational organization
    • She/he is passionate about the project
